Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1: Sydney

Upon arrival at Sydney Airport, please clear immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will find taxis and links to public transport. Self-transfer to your hotel in the city, and spend an evening at leisure

Overnight: Sydney

 

Day 2: Sydney

After breakfast today, you will have the opportunity to uncover Sydney at your leisure with your Darling Harbour Experience Pass (included).  Visit famous sights such as the Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World, and Sydney harbour with a hop-on/hop-off cruise, before enjoying a refreshing drink at the Sydney Opera House.

Day 3: Sydney – Blue Mountains  

Today you are invited to join a tour to the picturesque Blue Mountains and follow the scenic drive to the Three Sisters rock formation towering above Jamison Valley.  On the way back to Sydney, you will stop at the Featherdale Wildlife Park to see some of Australia’s most popular creatures such as Kangaroos, Koalas and Wallabies.

Day 4: Sydney

Today the day is yours to do as you please, we recommend visiting more local attractions with your Darling Harbour Experience Pass.

Day 5: Sydney – Uluru (Ayres Rock)

After check out formalities, you will transfer back to the airport for your onward flight to the Red Centre and heart of the Outback – Uluru.  After transferring to your hotel, you will have time to freshen up before heading off to enjoy a magical ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner, where you will dine under the stars and listen to the haunting sound of the didgeridoo as the sunsets over Uluru.

Day 6: Uluru (Ayres Rock)

This morning you will have the opportunity to capture Uluru on film, before your driver takes you to the Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and into Walpa Gorge.  You will return to Uluru in time to watch the sunset over this magical rock whilst enjoying a glass of wine and nibbles.

Day 7: Kata Tjuta – Kings Canyon

Today you will rise early for the Uluru sunrise, and choose from a guided climb or base tour of the monolith before visiting the Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

Day 8: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs

Take an early morning guided walk to the rim of the Kings Canyon for breathtaking views of its fascinating rock formations. This afternoon, you will travel by coach to the Outback town of Alice Springs.

Day 9: Alice Springs - Cairns

After check out formalities, you will return to the airport for your flight to Cairns, the gateway to Tropical North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.  On arrival, a shuttle transfer will take you to your chosen hotel and base for the next two nights.

Day 10: Cairns – Kuranda - Cairns

Today you will ride the scenic railway up to the mountain village of Kuranda and return on the Skyrail, hopping on and off as you please.  A delicious buffet lunch will be served at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

Day 11: Great Barrier Reef- Port Douglas

Today is a highlight of your trip throughout Australia, and you will board a catamaran cruise to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. After connecting to the pontoon, you will disembark the catamaran and go snorkelling, view the coral form the underwater observatory, and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.

Back on dry land, you will transfer to your hotel for the next two nights.

Day 12: Port Douglas

A beautiful seaside town, Port Douglas as much of offer the traveller, and over the next two days, you will have the opportunity to enjoy it at your leisure.

Day 13: Port Douglas

Recommended activity: Browse the stylish Macrossan Street and head for a swim on four-mile beach.

Day 14: Departure

After a leisurely breakfast and time to shop for those last minute souvenirs, you will transfer to Cairns International airport for your return flight home.
