3-Day Safari Tanzania: Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater & Karatu Town

An action-packed safari adventure for travellers who are short on time, our fabulous 3-Day Safari visiting Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Karatu Town is the perfect add-on to your Kilimanjaro Expedition or Zanzibar Beach Holiday.

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater                                                                                       

Depart Arusha on your three-day safari starting with Lake Manyara National Park, where you will enjoy a game drive and a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s smallest national parks, but it has much to offer international travellers, including flamingo filled lakes, large elephant and baboon populations, and its famous tree-climbing lions. After lunch, you will proceed to your hotel on the outskirts of the Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight. Picnic Lunch & Dinner included.   

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater                                                                                                                                 

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will head down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari experience. The Ngorongoro Crater is a magnificent unbroken caldera. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is commonly referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, and it is every bit as impressive and breathtaking as you would imagine it to be. Home to a year-round population of African wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, hyenas, black rhino, and high densities of grazers such as wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles, the game viewing here is simply amazing! You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, and return to your hotel in the early evening for dinner and overnight. Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner included.

Day 3   Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu Town – Arusha                                                                                                  

Today you will make your way back to Arusha, stopping at Karatu Town along the way. The gateway to the Ngorongoro Highlands, Karatu is a vibrant and colourful African town where you can practice your bartering skills for locally made arts, crafts and souvenirs. Time permitting, you may also have the opportunity to visit a Masai Village. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will have access to a day room where you can shower and change before transferring to the airport for your return flight home, or continue with your Tanzanian adventure. Breakfast & Picnic Lunch included.
